 About using Nero, How to burn CD if I have just 1 CDdrive |

Hi all!
Is there anybody can help me? How shold I use Nero6 (RaH-313-102) plugin to burn CD at the same CDRW drive which I use to load ReatogoPE? And it is possible or not? When I make a new project and click "Next" twise Nero tells that I should insert a recordable media (CD-R or CD-RW). Then it's eject the CD drive and I insert a recordable CD. But when burning proces is started Nero hangs up (drops). How can I fix it? I use Nero 6.6.0.8, reatogo-25-6a, WinXP SP2 RUS; my CD drive is ASUS CRW-4824AH, if it will help. I've tryed differrent plugins based on Nero 5 and 6 but I cann't reach a fine one. P.S. In reatogo-25-6a in the system tray (next to the watches) there is a icon "Eject media", what is this? may be I shod use it somehow? |

The only way I think this can be done is if you load BartPE ISO into RAM during boot rather than booting it normaly. Reason it becuase Nero will need to access all required DLLs and EXEs while opening and burning the CDRW/DVD. for more info on building a BartPE image to boot into RAM please refer to the below link. Nero is powerful burning software, but in general you do not need all it's functionality for a rescue CD.
Consider a small burner program instead, e.g. ExpressBurn. It does not need to access the BartPE CD once started, allowing you to put in an empty CD and save data from your harddisk. When done, you can switch back to your BARTPE CD, and maybe you can continue your session too (otherwise you are stuck and need to reboot, but hey, you saved your data now!). I have previously posted that if Nero folder is copied to ramdrive (along with quartz.dll)
then you can run Nero from ramdisk, You will be prompted by Nero to replace Bart PE CD with blank CD, when burn is finished disk is ejected and Bart PE replaced. Nero 5.5.xx uses about 16 meg and will fit in a 32 meg ramdisk, Nero 6.6.xx uses about 33 meg and needs at least 40 meg of ramdisk. If you have lattest DVD burners Nero 6.6.xx will be needed other wise use Nero 5.5 regards Mike Barnes |

Yeah, I'm already tried a few of such plugins (whitch copies Nero into ramdrive, the one was sfx), but all of them didn't work propertly  Could you give me a link to 100% WORKING plugin, please? |

You have the greatest chance of success if using nu2menu as your shell.
If you use explorer then it tends to get upset when you remove the boot drive at any time other than when you are shutting down. Thats what the eject media option in the tray is used for - it tells the system to eject the CD before closing down. -------------------- |
