Because the DeepBurner 1.5.1.192 plugin download side from DigiWiz is permanently down
(see http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...3&hl=deepburner)

i made my own DeepBurner plugin (using the same SFX_RAR technique as DigiWiz).

Successful tested in a minimal BartPE-Build, only nu2menu, A43-filemanager,
ramdisk 64MB with ramdisk-profiles, neither custom.inf nor others plugins.

Notes:
- ramdisk-profiles are absolutely necessary!
- although DeepBurner is running completely in the ramdisk, you must have a second drive for CD/DVD burning!
- burning audio-CD's is not recommended (limited space for temp files in the ramdisk).

The DeepBurner free 1.8.0.224 plugin is available on my webside http://www.fuwi.ethz.ch
(ready to use, all files included)

@fuwi

Thanks again for your plugin - I found out that you can leave away the ".manifest" and the ".chm"-file too - so you can save more diskspace...

Best regards

I found a way for burning CD/DVD's with DeepBurner in computers with only one drive (CD/DVD-reader/writer)
(for example for data rescue on crashed laptops and no external burner is available)

- close all running BartPE-applications
- start DeepBurner
- select "create data CD/DVD" (multisession or no multisession disk, but do not try to append a session)
- drag and drop the files and folders from the explorer-window to the project-window
- if you are finished, click "Burn Disk"
- now remove the BartCD and insert a CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW media!
- in the burning-window you can erase the RW-media if necessary, then click "Burn"
- after burning, the media will be ejected
- now re-insert the BartCD, wait a few seconds, then quit DeepBurner
- normally you can continue working now with the Bart-CD
(sometimes the BartPE hangs after swapping the CD -> shutdown with the power-switch)

works for me in my minimal BartPE test-build (nu2menu, XPE i don't know)

QUOTE (cyberguy @ Jun 18 2006, 08:19 AM) *
Hi,

I have the latest version of Bart PE and i added the deep burner plugin. I downloaded the portable version as stated in the instructions, extracted the files to the appropriate folders, enabled it and i created a new CD.

When i go to click on it in the menu when i boot off the cd, nothing comes up...the program does something, and i can't see the words, but the deep burner program does not come up.

The program does come up if i'm within windows and click on it from the bart PE cd.

Any ideas on what i should be looking for or do to get it going.

Thanks,

Cyberguy

I have exactly the same problem. I switched to your plugin but the BartPE cd failed to boot. My DVD drive kept running but
nothing else happened. Is it because of my Dell OEM Windows XP? How can I fix this problem.

Thanks

It doesn't sound like the same problem. And the posting you quote is 2 years old.

Does your DVD boot without the DeepBurner plugin?

My DVD does boot without the DeepBurner plugin from fuwi. It also boots with the DeepBurner plugin included in the BartPE Builder and the portable version I downloaded as instructed. DeepBurner just does not start as described in the posting I quoted. Everything else works fine so far except that all the button icons are missing.

That's not what you said originally.

Sorry for the confusion. Let me recapitulate what has happened in chronological order. At first, I built BartPE with the

basic plugins only-the DeepBurner plugin was disabled. I created the DVD. It booted and all the applications worked (there

were a few problems anyway). Then I built BartPE again with the DeepBurner plugin enabled. I downloaded the portable

version as instructed, extracted the files, added them in the plugin, and burnt the DVD. It still booted and all the previous

applications worked. But DeepBurner could not start. So, I replaced the DeepBurner plugin with the one from fuwi, built

BartPE again and burnt the DVD. It failed to boot. Now, I am back to the previous situation-a bootable DVD with

DeepBurner unable to start.

@Mmma
Are you using a build script with a -sort list?

Since you are using DVD, you must make sure the boot files are below the 2gb barrior.
Setupldr.bin must be below 2gb and any files used during txtmode setup must be below 4gb on the DVD.
