Hello,
I have 2 Q about Windows PE
1.
I try to add SATA driver for my T60.
I copy the driver to
I386\system32\drivers\DriveT60
in the winpeoem.sif I add
[OemDriverParams]
OemDriverRoot=""
OemDriverDirs=drivers\DriveT60

I'm getting error message
File txtsetup.oem couse an unexpected error (18) at line 1747 in ....

I looking for several forum, try several steps but with-out succeed.

2.

Any option to remove "Press any key to load fro CD" at the start-up

For XP based PE:

http://bootcd.narod.ru/bcdw_e.htm#bootfix

For PE 2.0 (VISTA) see here:

• Also, if you don't want to be prompted to boot from the WinPE 2.0 CD or DVD, delete the bootfix.bin file from the \ISO\boot folder before creating your WinPE 2.0 CD/DVD.

It would be a good idea to specify WHICH PE are you using/want to use, i.e. WinPE 1.2, 1.5 or 1.6 (Windows XP based) OR WinPE 2.0 (VOSTA based).

Yes, basically the CD bootsector invokes this file bootfix.bin that, when executed, introduces a time out before calling (if a key is pressed during the timeout) the OS loader on the CD, if no key is pressed the CD is reported not bootable and thus control is passed to the next boot device in the boot order list in BIOS.
If there is no file, the CD bootsector loads following command that invokes the OS loader with no need to press any key.

P.S.: before some smart guy comes out with the classical question:

WHERE is the ANY key, I cannot find it on my keyboard?

here is the answer wink.gif:

and the practical w00t.gif solution:

and just to make sure that it is not just for fun, here is an official FAQ statement by HP/COMPAQ:
