WindowsInstaller-KB884016-v2-x86.exe is the redistributable package for installing or upgrading Windows Installer. I have another windows installer plugin as the following. (download from somewhere, i forgot...)
Use this, I can install Acronis TrueImage in XPE. (Althoug, finally, there will be a blue screen...). But Use you windows installer plugin, after I press start to install (after setting the path, type of install...etc), the installer dialog disappear immediately. But for small programs, like totaluninstall,...., you plugin is ok. If you are interested in it, you can try to find out why the below can do it and yours can't... @ hodgestructure,
This .inf file seam that it don't belong to MSI v3 To judge this plugin (i.e. if it work or not) we will need to have these two files msi.cmd=2 & msi2.cmd=2 btw, i try to install Norton Anti-Virus 2007 and it work ok but the setup stop due to the System account that used in PE. Thanks for feedback.

the two .cmd files are the same one. I just forgot to remove one...@@ the content in the .cmd file is : msiexec.exe /unregister msiexec /regserver net start msiserver just to enable the msi service.... You mean you tried to use the plugin I posted, and it works fine? (sorry for my poor english....) |

I don't know what you want to know? I have told you that the contents in the .cmd file. I created it myself. Do you mean where you can download it? If so, you don't need to download. Hi all
Sorry for being off topic for a while this due to my semester exams. Anyway i check the MSI plugin and make redesign to it with the help of the msi plugin the hodgestructure post it *(Thanks hodgestructure) it is really help me a lot. You can get the new plugin form the above link in the first post The plugin of MSI tested in install
and it work OK for all expect for Acronis TrueImage it keep giving an error  i search for this error and i find this.
