My computer has an internal card reader. In Bios I can chose to boot from card reader, fd-usb, hd-usb, other boot devices...

How to boot from a usb stick or usb hd is easy. I done that often with the hp format tool and booting hd-usb in bios.

But somehow it does not work with the original card reader, no matter if I chose hd-usb or card reader.

In Windows the card reader is also shown as a normal usb device.

The sd card is a SanDisk 64 MB SD Card. It was used in a digital camera before and I could format it with the hp format utility without problems.

No idea why this card reader isn`t booting. You have an idea maybe? Maybe an external card reader could work better?

Mind you this is a rather "new" field, but there is a thread related to this:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=20314
where some progresses have been made.

Moreover recently cdob posted some interesting reports on the "XP kansas city shuffle" thread:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...c=21242&hl=

I suggest you to follow the steps in the first mentioned thread, until you manage to get a DOS boot, then we'll start thinking about XP or other OS.
