Greetings. I am in the middle of putting together my latest BartPE CD because I want to have the new DIxml release on a BPE CD. I am making this posting because I would like to know if anyone could or would assist in creating a new plugin. DP Simple Burn (DPSB) is powerful yet simple burning app. One does not even have to install DPSB under normal Windows - just unzip & then create a Start Menu shortcut. I could add DPSB to the BPE output directory, modify the nu2menu.xml file and then recompile the output iso file, but I would like to know how to create a proper PE plugin. Another complication would be that DPSB probably must somehow run off the "ramdisk" because one cannot use DPSB on discs when the BPE disc is in the CD drive. Any insights appreciated. Thank you. Not ot put you down, mind you, but why "DP Simple Burn"?
AFAIK it has been "superseded" by AmoK CD/DVD Burning 1.01: http://www.amok.am/en/freeware/amok_cd-dvd_burning/ What are the advantages over IMGBURN: http://www.imgburn.com/ (for which there is an existing plugin) or any of the burning apps included in a UBCD4WIN build? http://www.ubcd4win.com/contents.htm jaclaz -------------------- - Fighting against bloatware since 2004, and proud of it. -

I made a plugin for "AmoK CD/DVD Burning 1.01" (the successor of "DP Simple Burn") see http://www.amok.am/en/freeware/amok_cd-dvd_burning/
Try it out, you can download the plugin here (all files included). fuwi |

Greetings. Thanks for the replies. It really doesn't matter to me if other anonymous forum members would like to put me down or not. I made the posting not to try sell anyone on the virtues of DPSB (or Amok Burning as it is now known, which I did not know) but rather because I would like to know how one would make a plugin for DPSB. Might someone (maybe fuwi?) have time to spare to learn me how to do that? Fuwi, is it necessary that your plugin runs off the ramdrive? Any insights appreciated. Thank you. but rather because I would like to know how one would make a plugin for DPSB. You should analyze an existing plugin (like fuwi's one) after or while reading this: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/help/english/pluginformat.htm The "simplest" the app is the simplest the plugin will be. jaclaz -------------------- - Fighting against bloatware since 2004, and proud of it. -

But I realised that it doesn't have copy disc function like nero do? Or is there a way to get around? I mean copying bootable disc. |

Or is there a way to get around? I mean copying bootable disc. Can't that be done on the system creating the BartPE CDs? -------------------- A useful posting: Adding drivers to BartPE; NIC, SATA, video A helpful thread: BartPE Troubleshooting FAQs Use the forum's search tool to find postings about problems similar to yours. For searches involving three letter acronyms such as USB add an * to the end.
