Not sure if this is a stupid question though....

I recently tried getting some adobe products to run from
within pe... seems to work ok but then complains about
admin priviliges and exits!

Is there a setting for this in the registry or something ?

TIA

try to run this command in a commandline before launching the application:
QUOTE
net localgroup administrators /add system

this will add the system account to the administrator group.

Tried it. It does add system to the admin group, however, illustrator
just doesn't pick up on it. Photoshop works though cool.gif

i wonder why you have to be logged in as an admin to run this adobe apps......
Are you able to run it on your normal machine as a normal user or power user?

btw, would you mind to post your photoshop plugin ?
A friend of mine was asking for that some time ago.

Ssup again. I'm admin on my pc so that's why it's asking for an admin account
i suppose...

Also, photoshop doesn't need any reference to an admin account, it will
just work as-is, provided you have properly imported your reg settings.

To create a plugin you should install photoshop but snapshot
all changes made to the registry before and after, compare them and
then export the differences as adobe.reg. Next substitute all drive references
from c:\program files\adobe\ (etc) to X:\adobe\ (etc). Copy everything
from c:\documents and settings\adobe (etc) and c:\program files\adobe (etc)
to pebldr\programs\adobe and rebuild. It should work!

Like i said, at least photoshop's working, but NO illustrator i'm afraid.

Perhaps if i try and install as a regular user ? i might give that a shot
later on....

EDIT: tried that, refuses to install... demands admin.... aaargh blink.gif
