This is a very simple plugin of my favourite "free" harddrive Imaging backup program - Terabyte Image. This is very simple since it is my first plugin written. This imaging program is great - will burn compressed image files directly to cd or dvd or file. There is also a tiny dos version that will restore/write the same images. Also a plugin available at the website called tbiview that will allow to look inside images and extract certain files (If anyone can get this working with windowsPE that would be cool since I don't know how). The only limitation of the shareware version is that you can't create bootable restore cd's or dvd's which really isn't necessary with WinPE anyways. This seems to work fine but haven't tested it direct to cd or dvd yet. Enjoy and let me know what you think of this somewhat unknown gem!

Install locally and copy these files: imagew.exe, ifw.hlp, cdboot.f35, Tlibr16.dll, tlibr32.dll into the

The only limitation known with the shareware version is that it won't create bootable restore disks.

The serial number for Image for Windows is normally stored in the registry, but there is a special way of supplying the key in the PE environment, using a separate ASCII file.

I know this because I made the first BartPE plugin for Image for Windows many months ago, and it has been officially available on the TeraByte Unlimited home page for just as long:

Official Image for Windows plugin for BartPE

And for the record, Image for Windows is not freeware.

The BartPE home page has a link to the official Image for Windows plugin, as does the TeraByte Unlimited home page:
