I didn't get any feedback so it was either bug-free (doubtful) or it's of no use to anyone but me (more likely!).

Anyway, for what it's worth, I've updated PluginCreator to v3.1.0. I've changed quite a few things since the last beta post mainly to do with the layout.

I dl the tool and I found very interesting the fact that categories for plugin are now not limited in number.. But I will test with 16 categories in order to confirm this power.
probably should be improved the list of files used by the plugin, for example to include all files in dir "files".
no bugs for me

Anyway, for what it's worth, I've updated PluginCreator to v3.1.0. I've changed quite a few things since the last beta post mainly to do with the layout.

It's here.

Well, I did find one small problem. When the nu_menu XML file is created, it seems as though the @DosFileExist(...) function does not work. In other words, the new program is never enabled because this function always returns negative. However, changing the function to @FileExists(...) does work.

I admit to a VERY small understanding of XML, but after looking at other plugins that DO work, I made an educated guess and sure enough, it works with @FileExists(...)

Thanks for any help on this, Bazz.

Mark.

@n6yga
I read your post and had a look at the source code and couldn't work out why on earth it had changed to DoesFileExist. It then dawned on me that I had a routine called 'FileExists' that I had changed to 'DoesFileExist' and used 'replace all' to quickly change it in the whole source code! I won't do that again.

I suppose I should have checked the new version by actually making some plugins and burning a CD to test but I didn't. It seems you're the only one who did!

Thanks for pointing that out, I've fixed it but am justing finishing off something else before I post it as an update -- should be later today.

By the way, it's a very nice piece of software. I really like how easy it is to use. No fuss, no muss. Keep up the good work.

I would like to have separate section for xml, files, info, because sometimes I have to correct only the info.

I just downloaded the program.
I can't use the backspace key when the cursor is in an inputbox.
It only works when I'm typing in the Description edit box.

Edit:
Works great.

Suggestion:
- Add the ability to choose/enter a registry file(s)/key(s) so you can convert them and use them for the INF file.

Thanks for all the comments. I messed-up with the version number so version 4 is really 3.1.x. sorry about the confusion.

@SlimShady
Many thanks, I've fixed the backspace problem. Registry is something I want to look at next. I will post an update very soon.

Thanks again.

This is the first time I used the program. It's great..

Just one thing.. Can you make it so that I can drag & drop files in the filelist?

Yes, good idea. I've now done this but need to have a break for tonight and do some tests tomorrow to make sure there are no conflicts with paths and things like that. It seems ok though. Thanks for the idea.
