Well what should i say this forum is full of all the guru's and mahaguru's of the Bootable World.

Amist all the tensions and worries i thought we could have an interesting time discussing something abt ourselves and guess what our DESKTOP's.

Desktop's reveals how a person thinks and works on his PC.. (atleast a little hint).

BTW :- How do you add the jpg pic from ur pc to this forum.. i'm getting an an error "Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed"

Please help me and post a pic of your desktop's..

Well jef somewhere in this forum i saw some pics posted in the threads too..

So i thought that it might be possible for everyone to upload them..

Well if it isnt then i guess along with the upgradation of the softwares we could also have some great time upgrading the forum.. !!

IS it possible for you to make some privelages for the users to upload some images.. (it could also be screenshots of the error messages )
on the forum along with the normal text ????

You could, but it'll take some time then. I just got some email from 17 days ago...
Also my (free)mail provider is migrating and stuff. They send a bulk mail that everyone would get a new adress, more space and new options.

You could send it over MSN/AIM sometime, but not the e-mail adress please.

Well JEF actually i think that my idea was crap...

I mean that even if you woul do me the favour no one actually would take time to visit my desktop !!!

Unless it exists on the forum threads itself !!

So probably i think ideas like these will have to wait until the forum incorporates the facility of displaying images on the forum threads..

So lets wait and watch !

With some MAJOR thanks to TheWasp here, I got a new adress.
jeffrey (dollar, at-sign actually*) the-wasp.co.uk should be able to accept stuff, and i'll gladly host.

Main provider still is having problems I hope those troubles are sorted soon. I don't look forward to changing all my e-mail adresses on every site.

It's dutch (my language), it's the "official" thread to post desktops. They created it because the "rate-my-desktop" things where flooding the forum.

There are some useful links in there on the top.

Also, I like this idea. For those wondering how:
1) Set your Windows up. Just as you like it.
2) Start>run>mspaint
3) Press control+v
4) Save it. You should save it as a JPG. If you can't, zip/rar it before sending.
5) Make a post here saying you send it. I'll check the mail. Use jeffrey the-wasp.co.uk or jeffreyboxmeer1 dolfijn.nl
6) I'll PM you the link.
7) Edit your post with the link.
8) Have fun. Or not. Or whatever.

I don't have a hotmail adress, nor do I want one (too slow). Haven't got any mail on any adress I have (don't bother resending, someone else did and I got it thrice when it finally arrived).

I'm not setting up a site, just hosting the images and giving links around here. I can't build sites (properly, I know the a,br,b,i,u tags and that's about it). Besides, it's just my storage place, i'm working on a real blog-site with other stuff. I keep some archives from another forum there too.
Free hosting as well, might want to check it out.

Hmm.. does that mean that i can mail you or i cant..

And if yes where should i do it ???

How did you get that? Is it a backgroud picture?

Probably LiteStep. It is a alternative shell, it completely replaces your desktop (start menu as well).

There are other alternatives as well, such as bluebox.

Well there may be many other alternatives... But i'm using DesktopX to get my desktop that funky !!!

You can get the desktopx theme as well as the windowsblinds theme and icons all all the suite at www.wincustomize.com .

The skins name is Sputnik and maybe its made by Treetog !!!..

Have a look at it and i'm sure you wont regret !!!

More. DesktopX "just" enhances explorer.

LiteStep replaces it completely and takes way less.
