I just downloaded the 911cd builder app a week ago and ran into some difficulties collecting the utilities for the 911 rescue cd. Some of the instructions for collecting the apps are for the older versions of the software which don't work for the newer versions. I have the Norton 2005 All-In-One program suite and I would like to substitute the newer versions found here for the corresponding older versions of the programs found in the 911 utilities folder. For ex: NAV 2005, Ghost 9.0, Norton Partition Magic 8.05, Norton Go Back 4, Norton Password Manager 2004, Norton SystemWorks 2005 Premier. I was wondering if anybody knew how to extract or find the files for these apps that CD Builder needs for inclusion in the 911 Rescue CD.

I've also noticed that I need WinImage, ISOBuster, or WinISO to help me collect some of the utilities. Could anyone point me to where I can find out more about these apps: what they are, why I need to use them and so forth? With me being new to this stuff, I have no idea what these programs do other than them being needed to extract or edit ISO images so I can include them on the final CD, or where to find them at the least. Can Roxio's E-Z CD Creator 5 Platinum perform the same functionality?

Also, is it possible for me to substitute other utilities with the same functionality(ex: the utilities that come w/ the Norton 2005 All-In-One Suite) for the ones listed in 911 Utilities folder, because I can't see myself paying for the full version of these utilities when I own ones that serve the same purpose. One last thing, please include how can I include updated virus defs for NAV 2005 for the final ISO image and how can I keep updating the rescue cd's virus defs once it's burned.

I know I'm asking for a lot and I will appreciate any kindness or charity extended my way. I've scavenged everywhere(at least I think everywhere) on the 911 CD forum, links, site and couldn't find an easy to understand solution or explanation for these problems that I've posted here. There's so much info to read and scavenge through and so little time to find what I'm looking for. I promise to finish reading through the rest of the stuff connected w/rescue CD's in hopes of posting less redundant requests that I could've found if I dug deep enough. When I've updated or come close to updating myself on the 911CD and all the issues concerned w/it I'll return the help by helping others w/ their posts. I'd appreciate any input, thank you very much

I know this is child's play for you guys and you probably don't want to be bothered w/it. I know this sounds reeeaaallllly bad, but I'm desperate. wacko.gif
