Full Version: Add/remove services in ReatogoXPE?

So, 1st i did search and didn't found anything.

My question is: is there a SIMPLY way to add or remove XP service(s) during preparing (building) ReatogoXPE? I mean services like: sound, network support, direct x, wmi, ...

I only know a way to run ReatogoXPE, run services.msc and enable/disable what i need (but it is not the same) or comment line(s) via ";" - too difficult for me.

I would like to build my custom ReatogoXPE Lite and add only services i really need.

Is anybode there who can help me?

For this kind of options you have to buy a premium key for Reatogo. Then you can decide if you want to use the Media Player, the WMI and the Help and Support.

Hello,

I would suggest reading through this file:
C:\reatogo-25-6a\plugin\z-Custom\list_of_settings.txt
Find the lines you want and copy/pasting them into this file:
C:\reatogo-25-6a\plugin\z-Custom\z990_Custom_Settings.inf

Hope this helps... biggrin.gif

Better not edit the defaults !!! biggrin.gif

use z990_Custom_Settings.inf

add something like this to

C:\reatogo-25-6a\Plugin\z-Custom\z990_Custom_Settings.inf
QUOTE
; Disable entry in \reatogo-25-6a\OEM1\7-reatogo_defaults\a_XPE-DEFAULTS.inf
; (default monitor refresh rate 85)
[Software.DelReg]
"Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx\900","150"

[Default.AddReg] ->[Default.DelReg]
[Software.AddReg] ->[Software.DelReg]

Then it will not be overwritten should the "a_XPE-DEFAULTS.inf" be updated by a package update.

Always use "C:\reatogo-25-6a\Plugin\z-Custom\z990_Custom_Settings.inf"" for your changes.

Either use the above procedure to remove an entry that is positioned earlier in the processing sequence or just make a new entry that will overwrite the value of a default.

Never edit:
C:\reatogo-25-6a\OEM1\z_reatogoConfigure\reatogoConfigure.inf
It is totally pointless to do, because that INF will be dynamically generated by Panel.exe everytime you run "configure" !

Noted...will not change 'defaults' for reatogo...

I read a few posts you made about only adding lines to z990_Custom.inf and *not* commenting out lines in XPE-Defaults incase XPE-Defaults gets overwritten.

Can we simply copy over lines from XPE-Defaults to z990_Custom.inf?

Thanks and sorry; above post is edited.

..sure, for copy&paste it doesnŽt matter where they come from. biggrin.gif

So if an update would change a certain setting and youŽd prefer the old one, that would fix it for you.
Works fine if you just want to give a key a different value.

However, if there is a setting you want to get rid of, you have to use the above principle. It has the same effect as commenting it out.
