@DEKO
It would be neat if this could take HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT keys and make entries to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes

Example:
Convert a reg entry like this
CODE
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\UnlockerShellExtension]
@="{DDE4BEEB-DDE6-48fd-8EB5-035C09923F83}"

To this:
CODE
[Software.AddReg]
0x1,"Classes\folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\UnlockerShellExtension",,"{DDE4BEEB-DDE6-48fd-8EB5-035C09923F83}"

I know, I'm a pain. tongue.gif
webmedic
you mind if I ask you to share your unlocker plugin?
paraglider
0x1, "Classes\folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\UnlockerShellExtension","","{DDE4BEEB-DDE6-48fd-8EB5-035C09923F83}"

works as well. My convregtoinf utility also converts reg file to inf files.

@paraglider
I know, I just like to have options. smile.gif
Also I like the way Reg2PE puts it in a window that can be copied out of.

@webmedic
Posted a plugin to it in the appropriate forum. cool.gif

FANTASTIC!!!

I've been needing a program to get reg info & your works perfectly.
Can a version that outputs to pebuilder.inf format be made also?
Does your reg2pe program have cmd line support so I can script the conversion from reg=inf ?

Not supported yet. I might make the command line version.

Thanks for responding.

I found that Paragliders convregtoinf.exe does work from command line, so I've got a working solution that can be easily scripted.

THANX

Another request, one I've asked for before is an english version of your floppy disk manager.
I figure asking once per year is OK. wink.gif

Is there an english version or language file for Disk Image Manager ver2.01?

A language file cannot be used for "Disk Image Manager."
If you wish, "Disk Image Manager" will be made to correspond to a language file in the near future.

Can you please define near future laugh.gif

A joke... Almost 2 years and still waiting patently. smile.gif

Request #2
Add a /switch to set the value for method 1 or 2 so that it can be scripted hands free.

Current version requires user input for sp1 or sp2 which means to use %systemroot% or X:

A command line switch would be nice.

Registry-file Generator ver1.00

/l file Set registry-entry list file.
Default is "reggen.lst".

/m 0|1|2 Set replace mode.
0 Does not replase.
1 Replace with environment-string.
2 (Default) Replace with "X:".

/o file Set output registry file.
Default is "reggen.reg".

/h Show this help.

CurrentControlset is detected automatic.
Therefore, please do not specify Controlset[nnn].

Very nice. smile.gif

THANX

@ALL
NOTE: the program still works with re-naming the exe to match the lst file & the ouput.reg file will have the same name.
Seems to work very fast with small reg dumps (great for localising), but chokes on large dumps. (Yes I had to try smile.gif )

could you describe the difference.
I have some problems with usb devices not been detected when running VMWare on top of BartPE.
I'm currently using the latest version of Mick Leong's USB plugin that also uses a usb1394.bat.
DEKO
Small? Fast? It is not so.

1.ControlSet
Will your ControlSet be really "001"? See [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Select] "Current" value.
This influences a hot-plug though this is natural.

[usb1394.bat]
Read: ControlSet001
Write: ControlSet001

[RegGen for USB1394]
Read: ControlSet[nnn]
Write: ControlSet001
[nnn] is your current. However, it should be described "CurrentControlSet" in "usb1394.env".

2.REG_EXPAND_SZ and REG_MULTI_SZ
Are you correctly replacing REG_EXPAND_SZ(hex:2)/REG_MULTI_SZ(hex:7)?
And, is RegistryExpander correctly used?

There was considerably a person who did not understand, and I was said in Japan like this.

"Please say it early. mad.gif "
