I've added the CDROM components from Bart's site to a Modboot disk and would like to change the timers to something more than 10 seconds. I've determined that cdrom.cab contains a batch file called cdrom.bat in which the parameter cdrom_ti appears to control the timer. I've changed the value and rebuilt the cab file, but when I test it, the value has returned to Bart's default of 10 seconds. Why is this?

Also, make sure that once you rebuild the cab file - btw, how did you do this...did you follow his way to make it? or did you use a packer? - that you also update it in the modboot disk...if you are creating the disk by usin bfd, make sure to locate all cdrom.cab files and replace with your new one...or just inject the new cab in the disk image.
I have found that most packers do not make directories correctly...so I would recommend using barts way (it is located under the dos instructions)

I followed Bart's instructions for using makev3 to create cabs and followed it "to the letter". The updated cab file is then inserted into the /lib directory.

it should go in the level3 dir or level1 if using cdormenu.cab
