Threads of this lengh are hard to read, especially for anyone just starting out. smile.gif

Yes, the additional problem is that it has happened in those threads (and I am one of the culprits sad.gif ) that - to help some users- the discussion has been taken a bit off-topic sometimes.

Moreover there are a lot of (now) useless posts, like those requesting a copy of some files...

On the other hand, (talking about Dietmar's XP on USB thread) whilst tutorial v5 is near to release, previous versions of the tutorial still contain some useful information, as well as some insights on related topics that at the moment are nearly impossible to find due to the length of the threads.

Ideally a Mod of the board should take some time making a copy of the original thread, with all the irrelevant material pruned off, but I understand it would be a lot of work..... rolleyes.gif

@d4vr0s - I think you are right, if enough votes are raised this would be great. I would suggest that it should be named has .script development or something similar, because batcher is a .script interpreter - and there a few different projects being developed around it.

It is not easy for those who want more information to know what are the available project alternatives, this would surely ease things and allow to discuss more specifically about .script files smile.gif

It's a pity that there isn't a good place around here to make some research and discussions based on these type of things - We have "general", "plugins", "troubleshooting" or "reatogo" for all bart's PE builder related issues, but why not any "research" or "development" topics?

The CD forum could indeed help out everyone else trying to create boot Cd's from other sources like win9x or Win3x. Bart's PE builder is a great program - but there is a whole lot more that can be done..

There are simply too many topics with really valuable information - but they get often get lost if nobody remembers where they were once placed - and filling the gap for a group that gives focus to research would really be a good asset to this forum in my opinion..

Just notice the topic rate per day in each group - you'll notice that it's really hard to keep up with interesting things since everybody is posting in a few groups with all sort of unrelated topics.

Last of all.. Why not? huh.gif

I sure would be happy to post on a place where people could talk about new ways of making fresh bootable media.. laugh.gif
