useronce
Hello everybody, i'd like to share you with this another funny toolkits for PC's multiboot software.
Yes, this is another attempt for me to the multiboot field just after avldr, avlgo, isoemu. ^)^
O.K. Let's start the conventional verbal exchange for software relese:

QUOTE
  Aero Studio 2007 is a graphic multiboot menu designing platform, including a designing-IDE and a runtime program. It is something like the EasyBoot, but more powerful than Ezboot, because it supports booting from both CD-ROM and Harddisk using a fashion UI, loading linux kernel directly and more. Since you've gotten tired of the black and white boot screen, why not try Aero? The specialties:

* One-Time Design, Multi-Type Deploy

By using Aero Studio, you can use any favorite images as the menu background; by using the 'Button Control', 'Picture Control', 'Static Control' and the 'Progress Control', you can design the menu more profession. And these designations, you could deploy them to any partition, or the MBR(s), or the iso images. So that, it makes you get things done easier and faster!

* Multiple Bootstrap Programs and Disk-Image supported

Aero supports not only the Bootsectors, FDD-Image, HDD-Image - even using gz/zip compressed - to start your PC, but also the ISO-Image.

* Powerful Graphic Supports and Multi Images Format Supports

Png/Gif/Bmp/Jpg/Tga are all supported. When you design within the Aero Studio, you may feel using a WYSWYG web designer - simple and efficient. When you generate the Aero menu, it will automatically generate the right images to display at runtime.

* Quick-Preview in Web Page

If you want to preview the design or share your idea with your friends, the "Export to web" makes you achieve this faster and easier.

* Qemu-Inside, Design to Runtime Faster Than Ever

Aero Studio can dynamically generate the command line to test you designation using the build-in qemu.

here is the official snapshoot:

addition information:

1. I have not finished the chm-format help, so you can try to use it, and contact me for using help;

2. Aerosmgr.exe has bcdw/grub4dos/isoemu/memdisk inside. so you use some commands like:

QUOTE
bcdw (cd)/images/xpe.bin
grub4dos kernel (hd0,0)/kernel.dat quiet vga=788 ramdisk_size=40000;initrd (hd0,0)/ramdisk.dat /s
isoemu (hd0,0)/mydos.iso
run (hd0,0)/images/dosme.imz

3. a typical workflow of using is:

QUOTE
* set the background image of your menu;
* design the menu item: you can use 'button control', 'picture control', and 'static control' as a menu item, and set its propertities, including the command lines.
* include a progress control in your designation if you want;
* export your desination to web pages, if you like;
* create menu from your designation;
* depoly your menu(s) to media: a iso image file, or a partition of your local hard disk;
* using media to test in a virtual machine.
* if everything is OK, great job has been done! happy.gif

I've corrected the .zip error. 6_6

the help files of aero studio is not ready, so, we can discuss the usage here. I'm ready for any question.
Although the CHS version has a chm file, but it is a hard work to do a translation.

Link to zip file is now working, thanks

here, you must see the list of your menus in the deploying dialog. just you notice, there is no default menu selected, so, please double-click
a menu icon at the menu list, you will get the next page for deploying to a media.

BTW. a demo video that shows how to use aerostudio is in my plan. ^)^

Hi useronce,

I can see the menu icon. I only used "single" click to choose it. Using doubleclick (as you helped me) works correct.

Another Q here. I created 2 buttons for booting of 1st and 2nd HDD. I created menu and try to deploy menu. How to deploy it to make an iso file? I can not understand what i have to fill in "source files" and "target name".

Yours program looks very well. The help is missing and needed.

Source FIles is the directory containing the deployed menu ( c:\Program Files\Aeromgr\Air Menus ). Target name is iso that will be created that starts the menu.

Thanks! happy.gif

and the source directory is the place where your files included in your target iso image file. here, you can assume this is a directory that contains the system installation files. at the same time, you can put two or more i386 directories, we can use md5 to optimize. - as a trick, you can use an empty directory as the source.

so, the target name is just the iso image file name.

yes but not exactly. the real usage has been mentioned above.

That did not work for me - I pointed it at the output directories from pebuilder and no iso file got generated.

On the 'Media For Deploy' dialog could you allow the two Source Files / Target Name text boxes to be directly editable so I can enter path information directly without using the browse button.

Also 'Start Depoly' should say 'Start Deploy'.

I also find it confusing to have both a 'Start Deploy' and a Finish button. Many times I hit Finish instead of 'Start Deploy' and have to do the Deploy again.

Also the 3 checkboxes have invalid captions ( o Iso Imange, o Partition, o MBR ). It looks like the T is missing as I presume they should say To. This may be a sizing issue on Vista - try increasing the width of the checkbox control.

@useronce

Hi, i have to say your program is amazing. It looks and works well. I finished my ISO with your help. Another Q here: is it possible to make any command for power off? Could you integrate cdshell into it?

Best regards,
Pavel

@Gandalf & useronce

Maybe you should consider combination cdshell in aeromgr (bcdw.gz grub4dos.gz isoemu.gz memdisk.gz and cdshell.gz happy.gif

Another suggestion , add an iso burn tool (prefer tools with GPL).

***************************************************

As i know , some same type tools, like The_gui http://members.chello.at/bobby100/

The tool based on mkisofs 、readcd、 cdrecord, the parameter of mkisofs is very rich for us to choose. After specify bootsect file , hit "make batch". we can get a batch file to see how mkisofs create a bootable cd.If we want adjust , it is a piece of cake sweatingbullets.gif . The following thing is build and burn.
ps: i have change the version of mkisofs which now supports gbk and md5 optimize

iso generator (deepin简易iso生成器 by cgistar)

It based on mkisofs、 cdimage 、qemu、 cd-burn and dvd-burn. We can use it to create bootable cd or dvd, test the iso with qemu. If all done , we can burn it . But it did not supply rich parameter to choose .

They have its own advantages and disadvantages, i hope aeromgr can absorb some advantages from them.

Download links are not working anymore and the site is very very slow

I finally download it, it looks great, but what is the command for running a gz file with memdisk ? All my images are in images folder. I tried to run it like this: memdisk (cd)/images/test.gz but it's not working (unrecognized command).This is working: bcdw (cd)/images/test.img but of course only for .img files.

The syntax should be the same as grub4dos one unsure.gif:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...c=19585&hl=

using the "kernel" and "initrd" commands.

but cannot say how actually they should be inserted, maybe

CODE
memdisk initrd=(cd)/images/test.gz ??

or

CODE
memdisk initrd (cd)/images/test.gz ??

Do you have memdisk on your hd? If so what is the path to it?

Is there a way to deploy menu to usb? I have the sd card with usb port (like flash disk), generated menu. I try to deploy it to my usb sd card, using "mbr, hd 1" on the right down corner in Aero Studio. The error appears "does not support yet". Any way...?
