Hi everyone!

This is a fun project mostly meant to automate the process of slimming down your bartPE to a bootable image sized around 35Mb.

Mostly everything redundant is removed and you can use it as base to later add everything else you need.

-------------

How can I create one?

-- Build a plain bartPE without any plugins
-- Run batcher to slim it down.

Instructions to use batcher and this project are very simple:
  • 1 - Select the path where your bartPE folder is found (the one that is used to create your ISO)
  • 2 - Click on the "Start" button to slim it down

This project is available for download here: http://nunobrito.eu/download.php?view.2

Original discussion topic and manual method can be found here: http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=12067
-----------------------

Hope you enjoy this stuff and have some fun modifying it as you need - it's free software.

Any more details on what it slims from the BartPe.

It will remove fonts, help, text, drivers and a lot dll's that come by default.

BartPE follows the structure of files needed on a XP installation (listed inside txtsetup.sif) but most of these files are not really needed inside to boot a simple XP PE disk.

This is a script based on the batch file previously posted here: http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=12067

On the above mentioned topic you find a detailed listing of files that are removed or you can simply edit the script file inside the download package to see what actions are done.

I was collecting my previous work to make it available online and found this version which is so simple and I still like it a lot.

The later versions add more features but this one is a good follower of the KISS philosophy.

The latest batcher version is 1.20 and you can find the latest talks on it's discussion topic:
