Full Version: Can anyone make a registry plugin?

hi everyone,

I deleted some important entries in my registry and it rendered my system useless. So I am trying to restore the backp registry files in an attempt to restart the system again and salvage whatever I can get. I used registry first aid and I also have registry mechanic so I am hoping that the registry back up feature was on. If it is true I would assume that I would get to the system using Barts PE and restore that.

If there is a plug in that turns on The System Restore built-in feature in XP that would be enough. Thank you guys.

ERD Commander's System Restore Wizard is the answer for you, BartPE plugins for that is floating around on the awfully amazing and hugely wide web, knock your self out

If you had XP's System Restore turned off, it hasn't backed anything up for you so turning it on isn't going to help.

I never turn it off so it had to be on. I just want to work cus when I browsed it and I got there and clicked it but it gave me some message saying DLL is missing and all of that crap.

Check out this thread for a limited System Restore plugin but it may be all you need.

If you're missing files and etc you may want to run Chkdsk.
