hello all.. sorry that I havent been around much... been busy.

I have created a McAfee plugin for McAfee AV Enterprise 8.5i install with the default defs and am trying to get the application to download and update the defs and engine via the built in mcafee autoupdate. I am using MS Windows PE 2005 (XP SP2 based install). It all looks like it download and installs and updates ok, but when you try to do a full scan, you get a message stating that the defs are corrupted.

The zip file contains a Readme with instructions.

Any help would be appreciated..

update: Interesting.. if you stop the "mcshield' service, you can do a full scan from the console. If you start the service, then you get a message about dat files are corrupted, but you can look at the on access scan log and see that the On access scanning is working...
