Hello,

to my new motherboard not work my bootcd with an old PATA CD-ROM.
Same cd-rom work to another motherboard.
the sata dvd-rom work fine.
the new motherboard, have 6SATA and one PATA
In the bios the cd-rom appears in the EXT. Primary Master device. what means that?
Maybe therefore the bootcd can not create the PATA CD-ROM?

hi,

now works with the udvd.sys.
but if I have 2 cd-rom, the X: drive is always the wrong drive.

any idea?

thanks

Which motehrboard do you use?
Does motehrboard you use a native PATA controller? Does motherboard use a addional PATA controller?

udvd.sys should support the devices as oakcdrom.sys and GCDROM.SYS too.
Try delete oakcdrom.sys and GCDROM.SYS.

ok now works.

I want to use this bootcd to many PC as possible.

Support the udvd.sys also this dirver?
btcdrom.sys
inicd.sys

So I load just the udvd.sys driver to mount any pata and sata devices?

thanks

No, this drivers are not supported.
However most likely you won't use them anyway. Do you use 15 year old CD drives?

UDVD.SYS is a DOS driver for 1 to 3 CD/DVD drives, including SATA, UltraDMA and older "PIO mode" drives.

Hi,

I read the manual of this links.
The inicd.sys is also for scsi support. We dont have any system with scsi support.

I think if I load the btcdrom.sys and udvd.sys, the cd will support a lot of new and old cd drives.
I need to also the aspi driver? if we have no scsi drives?

Another question:
To the supermicro C2SBX+ motherboard, if I set the raid options to this board, no driver works to the cd rom driver.
What for a driver need for raid support?
Adaptec or Intel

thanks
Andy
