Full Version: Explorer takes too long to start
The CD Forum > The CD Forum > Windows PE
Kernel32.dll
I have made Windows Explorer as shell in my own Windows PE.
It works fine on most of hardware im using. But if im booting on some PC it takes about 1-2 min to run Explorer.exe. It hangs right after loading windows GUI. I have no idia why it is happening.
It works slow on : Celeron 3000, nForce 7 + Core 3Ghz and some others. And it runs fast enough on other PCs(even on virtual PC, or even P2-400).

Any suggestions ?

BTW, i found, if you disable built-in IDE and SATA controllers loading windows takes much less time. Only "half-roll" of progress bar.

I also have noticed this on my newer build, a GIGABYTE GA-E7AUM-DS2H (nforce 730i). While a43 hangs, I can bring up a cmd prompt and navigate to C:\, so something odd going on.
