There is no "Longhorn NTLDR".

"Longhorn" is the code name for Vista, and there is no "ntldr" or "boot.ini" or "ntdetect.com" for Vista. The last MS OS that uses those files is XP.

That's an interesting article, but I'm not buying the whole "2005 documents are too old for online publication" bit. Reading those docs might shed some further light onto the full court case. While I get annoyed of the "Activation" deal that MS puts into their products, I also understand they get hammered by piracy all the time. Probably should have bought the guy out for much less cash...not for his specific software, but his protection mechanism.

Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

We could all just embrace the "Red Pill". It's less filling and tastes GREAT!

I was more thinking towards the format of vmhba0:0:0:1

The last time I did this, from command prompt, I got lots of free beer from my co-workers. I then thanked them all personally on my way out the door, but I only had sex with two of them. sorcerer.gif

I love my current job in government IT very much.

and yes, I had local rights to the VC....
