especially following Vista.
If anyone else is interested, I think this page is relatively new:

The way I see it is that a new product "Windows Virtual PC" will (in essence) replace the
older "MS Virtual PC 2007 SP1":

Then, this new product will have a 'special mode' called "Windows XP Mode",
apparently with tighter integration with the host (W7), than is implied with any
other guest OSs.

First, the 'bad' news:
QUOTE

Is AMD-V or Intel VT a must-have to run Windows Virtual PC?
Yes. To determine if your CPU includes AMD-V or Intel VT features, check with your PC’s manufacturer.

I've read elsewhere that the "Windows XP Mode" will be sold with a 'full-bore' XP Pro SP3 Install CD package.
The Windows 7 RC will be available to the general public May 05 (Avail now to paying MSDN,TechNet subscribers),
and the "Windows Virtual PC" Beta will also be available May 05.
I usually don't speak well of M$, but I think this is a very clever idea.
I hope the guy or gal that first thought of it doesn't get downsized too soon...
