The registration screen's reCAPTCHA software is rejecting valid responses to it's displayed words. Not sure when this started but I suspect 4-5 days ago.
It is being looked into.

It appears the reCAPTCHA problem is now working. I'm not sure what the resolution was at this point and I'm not sure I want to look a gift horse in the mouth but if I find out I will let you all know.

Sounds like you have a browser or machine problem. Not a registration problem. This announcement should be closed.
