I was using the procedure in the user manual (page 173, i think). At the bottom of one of the above kb links there was another link "
If the media does not boot". This is the problem I was having. But, this was a temp fix. Apparently it's a known problem because it aslo states "This will be fixed in a future update of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10."

What efforts did you do?
What changes did you attempt?ac
I didn't make any changed to the plugin as I'm not too savvy with creating plugins. I did send an email to Acronis support but they will just point me to the kb article probably.

What does "the included crippled plugin" look like?
Is there an .inf and .xml file?
Are you using the Sherpya XPE plugin?
what kind of "test environment", if it's the Workstation version?
The included plugin is pre-compiled. Meaning all the required files are already in a folder called WinPE. The exe is not the same as the main application exe. It is a trimmed down version (No mounting or disc management and probably other features are missing also).
There is an .inf as well as an .xml file.
I am using Reatogo, so yes I am using XPE.
I build the ISO and test it in Virtual PC.
Thanks again!
