Hi All,

Plugin for Avira AntiVir 9 Personal can be downloaded from http://www.wieldraaijer.nl/bartpe

I made the trayitem myself because i couldn't get the Avira one to work.

The Tray can be translated into your own language change the AVP9Tray.ini line

language=EN will read the [EN] section
language=NL will read the [NL] section

So i hope it is clear for you to add your own language

Line 13 is a special one its the service name Avira Antivir Personal 9 is distributed in several languages but i don't know if they all use the same language for the service name.. If you edit line 13 not in the right way you won't be able to start / stop the Guard service

Good luck

Best regards,

Emiel

Hi ewieldra!
Thank you for your good work.
In what could be the problem? Icon in the tray appears, but the program does not run. In Event Viewer in the error message, write "Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC90.CRT". What can I do?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Probally AVP9 needs de WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC90.CRT* folder located in the Windows folder

Can't check right now .. if someone else can

Hi

I did some experiments with ubcd4win V3.5 to see what plugins could be disabled to save space on CD (ISO)

If you disable the plugin for Addon: Visual C++ 2008 Runtime Plug-In

Avira Anti Virus personal 9 stops working
(maybe you can just use part of plugin as full plugin adds about 9MB to build)

Has anyone resolved this issue?
The tray icon comes up but the program itself does not run. I have not looked in the log to see of there are any errors.

I tried to right click the tray Icon and select run, I tried to drill to the program in explorer and click the *.exe file.

Its a great plugin.

Thanks
Philemon
@rodommoc
Well, it works fine under BartPE+XPE (XP SP3 as source)..
You may test mbarnes suggestion (thanks to him) ?
Use Visual C++ 2008 Runtime Plug-In.. Phil sorcerer.gif
Have you translated AVP9Tray.ini ?

Come on Feadan.. whistling.gif
Install Visual C++ 2008 Runtime on your local system or download ubcd4win V3.5 (use part of plugin as full plugin--> thanks mbarnes)

Actually that's good advice. Googling this forum is a better approach then using the forums Search function. However this link might be more what jaclaz actually intended: http://tinyurl.com/y9habje
jaclaz
Yep smile.gif, the result is anyway:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=23474

Which resolves as:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...=23474&st=3

@Feadan
The above means:
I may be a wise-ass hmm.gif, but you should move your ass quickly over to
http://www.ubcd4win.com/
and more precisely here:
http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm
(before I start kicking it rant.gif for real whistling.gif).

Then you can come back here and start continue whining w00t.gif, this time about the good UBCD4WIN guys for NOT giving a separate download or about the good guys here at 911CD for NOT ripping their plug-in.

For sure, Visual C++ 2008 Runtime Plug-In or not, the Avira plugin doesn't work at all.

Sad! sad.gif

For running Avira Antivir 9 I just use the following plugin for VC++2008sp1 and run avcenter.exe from harddisk. This gives not all functions but an actual virus database.

This plugin copies necessary files from your windows. This will only work on WinXP x86. When running Vista/7 x64 you have to copy the WinSXS folder from a WinXP installation to your pebuilder directory and replace %10% with %local10%. Do not use the newer 9.0.30729.xxxx versions because the SxS policies to map to them are not working in BartPE or at least I haven't found anything to get this running - Cryptsvc is running but IPSec will not start. I think it's one necessary part to get the policy manager working.

The rest of the AV9 integration into XPE is up to you. I prefer nu2shell...

Avira AntiVir Personal version 10 is released, can you update the plugin for v10? Thanks!
Ben_Mott
Hello ,
just wanted to say that an anti Virus is as good as the updated Virus definitions.
so if you got AV7 or 9 update the defintions and that will be as good as Version 10.

few years ago when I used to use UBCD4WIN to check for viruses off line
this is is how i used to update it:

========================================
AV7PE Updating(this is how I did it )
AV7 AntiVirus Personel
install AV7 on to your computer and update the definitions. then

to update file on this in pe go to:
C:\UBCD4WIN\PLUGIN\ANTIVIRUS\AV7PE
once you are in the directory double click on AV7PE.exe
this will create a file called AV7PE
open this folder and empty all the contents ie
CTRL + A then Delete key and confirm.
then go to:
C:\program files\anti virus personal edition Classic
double click it to open the folder
then high light all files CTRL + A
and right click and choose copy.
then go back to the empty folder.
c:\UBCD4WIN\plugin\antivirus\AV7PE\AV7PE
and paste every thing in there.
then dlte AV7PE.exe which is in c:\UBCD4WIN\plugin\antivirus\AV7PE
then open command line and navigate to directory:
c:\UBCD4WIN\plugin\antivirus\AV7PE
at command prompt enter:
7za a -sfx -r AV7PE.exe AV7PE
once this is finnished use explorer go to:
c:\UBCD4WIN\plugin\antivirus\AV7PE
it has compressed all the files into a fresh AV7PE.exe
then you need to delete the AV7PE directory whichyou created earlier.
and is now compressed into AV7PE.exe.
it is all finnished
compile the UBCD4win or Bart PE
and you will not get expiry error message .
===========================================================================
just wanted to say Clam Win Portable (antivirus)
runs without plugin on Bart PE and Vista PE and Win7 PE
copy it to a memory stick and run it fro A43.exe by double clicking
the executable.
http://portableapps.com/apps

I hope it help some body

MOVE /y %ROOT%\AVPextract\*.* %ROOT%\AVPextract\basic\

------------------------------------------!!!!!!!!------------------------------------------
should be
MOVE /y %ROOT%\AVPextract\XP\*.* %ROOT%\AVPextract\basic\

(for me i changed it to
copy /y %ROOT%\AVPextract\*.* %ROOT%\AVPextract\basic\
echo y|del %ROOT%\AVPextract\*.*
copy /y %ROOT%\AVPextract\XP\*.* %ROOT%\AVPextract\basic\
echo y|del %ROOT%\AVPextract\XP\*.*
)

and all

del /y ... should be echo y|del ...

aditionally i use never version of download.exe (1.11.76.2) so i use switch /overwrite

Thank you for your work

Hi all,

I'm a newbie and tray to make my own BartPE on my USB since yesterday!

The first steps to include some plugins i just managed. My BartPE USB is booting successful.

But after I include AVP9, BartPE do not booting anymore.
foult report is a damage fltmgr.sys

I found this file here: ...plugins\avp9_35\FBWF\files\

What can I do to run AVP9?

I have simply copy the downloaded file to plugins, is it right?

thanks...
