Hi.
I want to use or make a bootable cd.
Easy i use step by spep the instrucion here.with tittle Bootable Dos CD-Rom (single boot image) [updated! nov 4, 2002]!!

http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/

It work's,it boot's ok, but for what i want doesn't.
All because i want a boot cd and execute direct a program.

in your explanation in point 4 is :
Now you can customize things like:

* Adding programs and files to "cds\cdromsi\files\" folder. These will appear in the root of your CD-Rom filesystem.
* Change the file "cds\cdromsi\files\autorun.bat" you can add any commands you want, like starting some application that is located on the CD-Rom.

I do it, i add a command to start a ms-dos program just after it boot from cd.
until now is all good,
i think it work's, but the program i want to start need the files=30 in config.sys.

And your bootcd has a config.sys files=20.

I look the config.sys files im my pc, before a burn it,
i found it in folder bcd111\os\md701, and i change all files to 30.

burn it, but after boot, it still have files=20.
How can i change this?

and start them off from a menu.

it has been 7 or 8 years ago when i made one so you need to read FAQ on the site
as i can not remember how I used to Hack it to add new img files like ghost .exe 7boot disc etc.
good luck keep you busy for few hours.

i use winimage to edit the cdrom file and change config.sys.
for now it's all good.

How can i stop cd from spinning in drive after the boot, without taking out the cd ?

Hello again,

http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/network/
http://netbootdisk.com/

I remember that some bootable DOS floppy disks like WIN 98 SE boot disk or
boot Cd used to use a RAM Drive to load all the commands etc so
one could take out the CD or floppy and still use the commands .

as you know above are 2 good Network floppies which have a lot of drivers.
few years back I posted some tips on Bootable ghost CD
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=14127
and put them on a Zip file :
http://rapidshare.com/files/284521754/postBox.zip

regarding the noise of CD you can put the contents of a bootable Cd to a
USB using HP tool asuming your PC boots from USB in BIOS.

if you got ghost32.exe you can use Vista PE boot CD or windows 7 PE boot CD

they got Wired networking support and drivers and runs ghost32.exe without plugin.
again those bootable CDs are freely available from a link some where on this forum .
