Hey all, I have recently discovered the program Dreampackpl and I must say it is quite amazing! smile.gif
so i found this forum and thought I might ask a few questions i have since there seems to be a lot of knowledgable people here smile.gif

Ok here it goes. I have tried Installing Dreampackpl on an old laptop running windows xp and it worked great, but i was wondering if this would work on a mac that has a windows xp installed through a program called Bootcamp.

Thanks in advance

Well, then you are a bit late, it's been around since when? 2003 or 2004?

However, I don't get it. unsure.gif

DreampackPL is one of the available methods to log into a Windows XP when you forgot your password.

You don't "install" it for "fun". hmm.gif

There are as well other methods.

Point is, do you have a MAC running XP through bootcamp which you cannot access anymore because you lost the password? w00t.gif

If yes, try it, you have nothing to loose. smile.gif
If no, leave it alone. whistling.gif

Other known methods:
Offline NT password:
http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
also inside the UBCD:

WindowsGate (same Author thumbup.gif )

KON-BOOT:

If you haven't (yet) lost your password, instructions are wink.gif:
  1. write it down on a piece of paper
  2. place the piece of paper in a safe place

The simple answer is that unless the (virtual) xp partition is encrypted and undecryptable, you have almost too many possible ways of bypassing a password issue.

Yeah i was a bit late wasnt i? wink.gif

Im sorry for having fun wink.gif I thought it was a fun process and to finally take control of my computer after i lost my password was great smile.gif

Let me rephrase my question sorry:
I know the password for the windows on mac but my friend who has the same mac and xp doesnt. So i wanted to know if it would work for his sake.

But ill look into the other programs. (just tried login-recovery) that worked well on my xp laptop.
But i guess it wouldnt hurt to try just that on my friends mac. I just dont want to screw his mac up smile.gif
