Today was the last day for support for old W2K from Microsoft. I booted up my old machine yesterday and got 38 updates. I didn't realize the machine had been inactive that long.
It was also the last day for support for Windows XP SP2 also, but for XP there is SP3 which is supported till 2014.

My usual definition of XP is "a bettered 2K, only worse".
