I've been trying for a little while now to get BartPE to boot off a USB drive with Dell computers. I can get it to work on other hardware (toshiba, gateway, Panasonic, etc..), but i cant on any Dell hardware. It doesnt matter what kind of hardware, GX520-GX780 and a Dell inspiron laptop. I've tried several methods and i get various error messages or cant get past the splash screen or whatever. Has anyone gotten BartPE to boot off a USB flash drive with any Dell equipment? Can you share how it was done?

Thanks

I boot my USB flash drives on a Dell Latitude D400 laptop. It took me quite awhile to accomplish that the 1st time. The solution for me was to use the LBA option of the PEtoUSB utility.

I hear the RMPrepUSB utility is very good also.

@keith2045
And try Dietmar's ntdetect.com at Dell machines.
