Hello,
i get a BlueScreen while starting my bartpe-CD with error-code:

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D6528,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

A search refers to a missing harddisk-driver. The harddisk on this Laptop is a WD5000BEVT-22A0RTO.
On the Western Digital homepage there is no driver for this HD. The Driver should included in Windows.
What is wrong and why do a BartPE-CD need a Harddisk-Driver. Does BartPE not work without a Harddisk?

Hi knoks

If Windows XP needs a special driver to support a Hard Disk controller (which is not supplied with Windows XP) then BartPE will have same problem

Windows XP goes back to 2001 before SATA controllers were in the majority.
Many new motherboard chipsets have arrived after XP so the drivers are not included in standard XP
(some big manufacturers such as Dell add needed drivers to their OEM version of XP)

If you go to the Laptop manufacturers web site you should find a XP F6 hard disk SATA controller driver.
If download is a zip file simply extract files. If a download is a exe file things get more complicated
(Note that is 'hard disk controller' driver not 'hard disk' driver)

add to folder drivers\SCSIAdapter\xxxx and rebuild project

Alternatively there hard hard disk driver packs at driverpacks.net and other places supporting many modern motherboard hard disk controllers

Alternatively go to www.ubcd4win.com for a BartPE project including driverpacks.net mass storage drivers & Network drivers
or look at Wim_2's Make_PE3 project if you have a modern PC with Windows 7

Integrating the new Intel AHCI-Driver solved the Problem. But i do not understand why BartPE needs a working Harddisk. If there is a Problem with the HD, BartPE can not boot from CD.

Happy to hear you've resolved your problem. BartPE doesn't need access to a harddrive but it does need support for the controllers built into the mainboard.

Integrating the new Intel AHCI-Driver solved the Problem.
Problem: booting from a DVD drive at AHCI mode. Yes, this require AHCI drivers.
Boot device (DVD drive) and hard disk is connected to the same mass storage controller.
You did add a driver for your boot device.
