Full Version: password protected multiboot usb drive?

Hello, I stumbled upon this very nice explanatory video showing one method of creating multiboot USB drive
http://hak5.org/episodes/haktip-4
and I wonder if there is a way to make something like this but password protected! So it does not happen that somebody would steal or "borrow" flash drive and be able to use all my powerfull and secret tools I have on it.
There are other utilities like SARDU or XBOOT, but haven't checked them yet. I think normal GRUB does not allow this. Anybody have an idea?

Most tools use nowadays grub4dos which does sport some password protection (and yes also grub and grub2 do wink.gif).

Obviously the security of such a solution is debatable, however, here:

Thanks the second link going to ubuntu forums works, so I will try it. The first one contains dead links already.
Hmm and have you ever thought about the meaning of that strange verb/noun "sports"? smile.gif I think it is quite confusing for non native speakers (like me) and I don't understand why people use this word instead of the word "features"...?

Well, my little batch is still where it should be:

as well as 3proxy:

though of course using the internal grub4dos function to claculate the hash needs no downloads.

And also md5crypt is where it should be:

About English, I am not a native English speaker as well blush.gif, but I strongly object with the use of a "simplified" English, I mean, real people use the verb "sport" in the sense of "feature" or "boast" and noone (non native) will ever understand/learn about it unless he/she finds them written somewhere.... dubbio.gif

Name me two. whistling.gif I've never used the term "sport" in reference to pc hardware or software. "feature", "function", "option", "aspect" even but never "sport".
