Full Version: Cardbus Wifi cards with Bartpe + XPE

I have created a couple of CDs that boot BartPE + XPE and sucessfully load wireless LAN drivers for laptops with builtin Wifi adapters.

I have a Sony Varo that sadly has no Wifi adapter - but I do have a Belkin Cardbus adapter that works well under normal XP but despite putting the drivers in the usual place (...\drivers\LAN\Belkin) they dont seem to load.

The Hardware wizard doesnt seem to realise it's there either ... so I am guessing there is a step missing to get Cardbus adapters detected and the drivers loaded ???

Anyone have any experience of this ?? Any help or advice very welcome :-)

TIA

try ading the driver as a plugin.

CODE
[Version]
Signature= "$Windows NT$"

[PEBuilder]
Name="Driver: Belkin Cardbus adapter "
Enable=1

[SourceDisksFiles]
*.*DLL=2,,1
*.*INF=20,,1
*.*SYS=4,,1

Thanks for that ... in the mean time I figured out what I was doing wrong ... I wasn't using quite the right driver file set ... duh !!
