Full Version: Trouble creating my BartPE boot CD
The CD Forum > The CD Forum > Bootable CDs
thesnare
I've followed the directions here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yskCzPvxUa8...feature=related

It all works fine until I get to the part in which I build my CD. Keep in mind I do have a pure windows XP disc that includes windows XP only. I am using a disc which came with my laptop, a recovery CD, the one listed here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MICROSOFT-WINDOWS-...=item2313ac3fda

The files and folders on the CD under explorer are:

$OEM$
DOCS
DOTNETFX
I386
SUPPORT
VALUEADD
AUTORUN
README
SETUP
SETUPXP
WIN51
WIN51IP
WIN51IP.SP3

Also, it's a SP3 disc, will that work?

Anyway, I put the source to where I have copied the XP files, and this the error log I get when I try to create the ISO

This happens periodically with my system also. I suspect it's a timing problem because it doesn't happen everytime.

What else you got running? Is Windows Explorer open?

It's a DELL! w00t.gif ph34r.gif

Besides the fact that it is illegal to sell an OEM CD and COA without the related hardware, it is also NOT licensed validly unless you are using a DELL computer, anyway:
