Anyone have an easy/fast way of doing this?

From Sherpya:
reg2pe

From Redcl0ud:
PEReg

I'm sure there are other too. These were the first two that came to mind.

I think you misunderstand him. What he wants to do is convert inf to reg, not reg to inf. The files you mentioned will convert reg to inf only.

Oops! That's what I get for using the computer before I have a glass or ten of coffee! biggrin.gif

Sorry! I haven't seen any inf to reg programs.
mickles
that is correct. there are plenty of reg>>>inf tools around. I want the opposite as there is some registry stuff I'd like to add manually from commandline As its quite a lot of entries, i was wondering if anyone ever made a inf>>>reg tool. tongue.gif tongue.gif

I agree, this would be very useful on plugins like MS AntiSypware. Having a program like that is great to have on a pe system, but if you had a reg file to run on someones computer to get it working, without having to boot pe, that would be priceless. I have looked around, and other then these posts, I can't find anything at all about doing this. Anyone up to the task?
Wendy
You can always use regedit, running from a BartPE boot.
remyservices
True, but that wont allow you to export reg entries from multi areas without some work., If you already have the inf, why not just convert it to reg on the spot and not have to disect the whole registry...
Wendy
On the other hand, there does not seem to be the traffic to convert an .INF style to .REG files in mass, whether Microsoft or Bart style ones. Of course a MSFT to BartPE style converter would be handy.
