How do you adjust the properties?

UltraEdit wants to create a copy of any file it opens (even new windows) in the current directory.

To fix this, add this line to your uedit32.ini file under the [Settings] section:

Temp File Dir=%RamDrv%\

Or, if you'd rather have UltraEdit not make temporary files of anything it opens, you can instead add:

No Temp=1
No Temp Confirm=0

Note: any changes to any file opened will be permanent.

Another good thing to do with UltraEdit is copy its .ini file to your %RamDrv% on startup, then specify in its commandline its new location. Such as:

0x2,"Sherpya\XPEinit\Programs","Accessories\UltraEdit","%SystemDrive%\Programs\Ultraedit\uedit32.exe|/i=%RamDrv%\uedit32.ini"

Good luck.

I got Sherpya's UltraEdit plugin running by copying everything to the RAMdisk and running it from there. But this plugin is a little more convenient as long as you copy the INF files very carefully.
