and checked in VMWare
the PQMagic8 does not start, gives the following error:

How are you creating the shortcuts. The parameters to the program are stored in the shortcut. If you are using XPE then add the following to the inf file:

0x2,"Sherpya\XPEinit\Programs","PowerQuest\Partition Magic 8.01","%SystemDrive%\Programs\PartitionMagic 8.0\PMagicNT.exe|/pqb=Z:\pq8.pqb"
