I'm trying to build a .CAB file for my Actiontec 82559-based mini PCI ethernet adapter for my Gateway Solo 9500SE.
I've downloaded the drivers for the NIC but I'm having a problem figuring out which file to use. The insturctions say you need the NDIS2.dos driver for the NIC. If there is no .dos driver am I just out of luck? Can I use any other files? In the driver file I downloaded it includes the following files:
e100bnt5.sys
e100bw2k.cat
iansw2k.sys
intelnic.dll
ivlanw2k.sys
net82557.din
net82557.inf
prodd.sys
prokddp.sys
promon.exe
prontobj.dll
prosetp.cnt
prosetp.cpl
prounstl.exe
I'm not sure which of these files I need. Can you help???

I see "E100B" and "82557"; have you tried the Intel E100B driver?

Hi. Why don't you try to use the PCIscan to obtain the real vendor of you nic card.
Maybe you could use the another drive to create the .cab you need.

" This is from Bart's -
Craig's PCI diagnostic software
Consult the list found at: http://www.yourvote.com/pci/
Look up the Vendor ID and Device ID
Use PCIscan
