Full Version: How About Reading Some Sysinfo

This is like the Read HDD label topic, how about being able to read things like RAM size and processor spec from CD Shell? The reason I ask is it would make things like OS installations easier for checking system requirements before booting into the installation

Yeah it should be great for CD's having 95 as well as XP...

So i think this should be incorporated..

Good idea.

Also include the method of checking the size of certain file.. For eg:- If the same CRC file not found on the CD then the booting aborts.

Can be used as a method to avoid unauthorised CD access..

Think about it.

Those all sound like good ideas. I don't have the time to do it though. Boot Scriptor/CD Shell was made extendable so that other people can create custom modules that do things like the stuff you're requesting. Maybe someday you will see those features made by me, but I don't know when I would be able to do it.
