Full Version: Terminal Services In Bartpe ?
The CD Forum > Bart's PE Builder > Troubleshooting

I installed Bartpe on the harddisk so the machine (server) has a second
boot option. what i would like to add to the bartpe is the terminal services service
so that we can takeover the server while booted in bartpe with remote desktop
or maybe another application like Netsupport manager.

any hint on how to do this ?

I had started work on one....

People who reply to 6 yr old postings with self serving links in their sigs are looked upon as

SPAMMERS.

Enjoy your stay.

@nuMe
Members who are not Admin or Mods of the board should do what members are kindly requested to rant.gif :
  1. report a suspected spammer or any objectionable content they find (according to them)
  2. PM an Admin or Mod (if they think additional info is needed or to express their opinions)
  3. more generally let the guys in charge (Admin and Mods) decide actions needed (if any)

@JohnathanAmber
Please DO NOT assume that what nuMe posted is anything but his personal (uncalled for) opinion, as he is a member like any other and does NOT represent the board or it's management.

Anyway use some "common sense":
  • do not post just for the fun of it or to increase your post count
  • when you post, make sure that the contents of your post do add "something" (and idea, a problem, an experience, a failure, a success, whatever) that can be of use or interest for someone else or that can be the spark igniting something else
  • this is a technical board, NOT your blog, and NOT your Twitter, NOONE here cares what you are doing (while lots of people may have interest in what you already did and report - as long as it is documented)
  • please, BEFORE posting use the preview button and re-read critically what you are about to post, if it doesn't add ANYTHING worthful to the thread, DO NOT POST.
  • also, like it just happened if - for any reason - your Quote is a mess, review it before posting
  • please, DO NOT quote entire posts - expecially when the quote has no sense, like in this case.

Moreover, bumping an old thread is NOT welcomed unless there is a reason, you just posted the same kind of meaningless things here:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...ic=7983&hl=

Use your little gray cells smile.gif, do you think that a (clearly clueless) member with 6 posts, whose last post was in 2005 is likely to reply you? hmm.gif
If yes, try PMing him/her wink.gif, no need to resurrect a single-post, unfinalised thread from 2004.

@jaclaz, thanks for the clarification. I certainly hope none of it was meant as an insult.

As far as the 'common sense' you refer too... since I had not seen much on NetSupport and that I did find something, I can still hope that they were able to get it working and might reply. It was slim but making a post or two won't hurt.

As you've surely seen my previous posts I don't just open old ones just to do it. Nor do I simply post to just post. Nor do I spam.

I assume that your posting was copied and not typed out in reference to my posts... obviously you and I know that this isn't my blog... and innocently linking back to my sites shouldn't be a problem as I see a lot of other sigs do just that.

Thank you and God bless,
Johnathan

Let me reassure that if:
  • the post is meaningless
  • it effectively bumps a 6 years old thread

it DOES hurt.

Sure smile.gif, nothing against your meaningful posts, only against these meanigless ones.

Well, that's exactly what you have done with the two posts we are talking about.

Nor do I spam.

This is highly debatable.
This is a generally true equation:
Meaningless post+link in signature=SPAM

Wrong assumption sad.gif, I even carve my bytes bit by bit from shapeless massses of electrons, rest assured that each and every letter, punctuation mark, space and formatting in my reply was expressly made for you and for this particular occasion. smile.gif

I definitely know that wink.gif, since you also know it, THEN don't behave as if it was whistling.gif

I personally have no doubt about the "innocently" of your linking. smile.gif

BUT the "type" of the sites you link back is still debatable.
First one is for your "professional" (please read as "money required") services (though as far as I can get still of "personal" nature, nonetheless a "Commercial" site).
Second one - no matter if for a good cause - is first thing popping up something asking for some kind of donation.

Will let you know whether these kind of links are acceptable. hmm.gif

Just for your interest, when I posted this:

Now that I know what you all see as spam, I will make note of that in future posts. I didn't see it that way which is why I posted. If I thought you and others had issues with them, I would not have posted.... and I believe I asked a question on the other posting... which I assume would not be spam since I was trying to help?!?!?!

I don't see HOW I was behaving like it was personal.

Nothing on my 1st link is requiring money... the only mention of requiring money is if others request those services that would require money. Other than that everything else is free and does not 'require' any funds for anyone to use the site, calling for support, forums, etc. But I can see what you mean... for the most part I do not push to get funds from anyone... which is why most of my services are free.

Maybe I need to reword things... no where am I asking for donations... HOWEVER I am asking for votes for a contest to GET DONATIONS FROM Sears... NOT FROM individuals. You re the 2nd person to say this and I've had to correct the previous person as well as yourself on that... not asking for any money from anyone.

I would hope that by seeing that I am not posting ads for my services, etc. that you would see that this is just a sig.. and am not soliciting in the posts. I suppose the sig could be soliciting... but how else can anyone see the things that I could help them with... freely or otherwise. I do have several free projects that others participate in. Much like others have links to their sites with HOWTOs etc. That is pretty much all it is there for.

God bless,
Johnathan
